Summary of All D-9 Foundation Accounts
The following scholarship funds are maintained by the D-9 Foundation
and invested with the Oregon Community Foundation. Proceeds are distributed annually
according to the individual fund's established criteria.

D-9 Foundation Scholarship
These scholarships are available to EPHS graduates or GED recipients
who will continue their education beyond
high school at an accredited institution. As with all scholarships
offered through the D-9 Foundation, application must be made in the spring
through the Eagle Center at the high school.

District 9 Community Scholarship Fund
Half of the year's donations are distributed as
current scholarships; the other half is invested in the Foundation's
OCF endowment. The student recipients are determined based upon
their GPA and SAT scores with a ranked index of those values.

Bill Morgan Memorial
Funded through donations from community members. Bill Morgan was
a 1954 graduate of Eagle Point High
School. He was a beloved family man and a caring man who imparted
his love of agriculture and livestock to
his daughters and their children. The scholarship recognizes those
facts by distributing its annual scholarship
to an FFA senior member who will continue their education post high
school.

Carpenter Foundation Dental Scholarship
Funded through a grant from the Carpenter Foundation to provide
scholarship assistance for students enrolled in the EPHS program at
the VA SORCC and who will be enrolling in the Dental Program at RCC. Must be
approved by teacher at the VA SORCC as well as complete application.

Coughlin Family
Funded by the Richard and Rita Coughlin family. These scholarships
are available to Eagle Point High School graduates or GED recipients who will continue
their education beyond high school at an accredited institution. The students must
be enrolled in a program that leads to a Registered Nursing Degree. The application process
and selection of students is administered through the Eagle Center at the high school.

David Poole Memorial
Funded through family and community donations. His family and
business supported many youth organizations including the local FFA,
4-H, and VICA programs. The scholarship recognizes those facts by
distributing its annual scholarships to FFA senior members and
to students enrolled in the Industrial Mechanics program of Eagle Point
High School who will enroll in related post high school programs.

Dean Collins Memorial
Established as a memorial to one of our areas most respected and
admired individuals. Dean gave unselfishly to better the community in
which his family and business resided. Priority is given to students
who are enrolling in business degree programs.

Eagle Alumni Association
The funds are primarily raised through the Eagle
Alumni Association members' efforts each summer at the Eagle Point
Alumni Football Game. These scholarships are available to EPHS
graduates or GED recipients who have excelled in athletics and
who will continue their education beyond high school at an accredited
institution.

Eagle Point Dental
Funded through donations and a reciprocal agreement
of donated services between the Eagle Point Dental
Office of Dr. Keith Ogawa and Dr. Rania Haddad and the D-9 Foundation.
Awarded to students enrolling in Dental or related programs.

Fire District 3/ Firefighters Local 1817
Contributions by the Firefighters of Local 1817 of Fire District
#3 established this scholarship. The recipient is chosen by the scholarship
committee at EPHS based on criteria of enrollment in Fire Science or EMT course
of study.

Fire District 3/ Volunteer Firefighters
Contributions by the volunteer's of Fire District #3 established
this scholarship. The recipient is chosen by the
scholarship committee at EPHS based on criteria of enrollment in
Fire Science or EMT course of study.

Galpin Family
This Scholarship opportunity was first made available at the D-9 Foundation's
2003 Benefit Auction and continues with annual contribution by the family. Follows the same
guide lines as D-9 Scholarships.

Gordon Elwood Foundation
The Gordon Elwood Foundation Scholarship is funded by a grant
from the Gordon Elwood Foundation,
specifically to provide scholarship assistance for students enrolled
in the EPHS program at the VA SORCC and who will be enrolling in the
Certified Nurses Assistant Training program offered through RCC.

Greg Horn Memorial
Funded through donations from community members. Greg attended
Eagle Point High School, graduating in 2001. Greg touched the lives of
many people. He always made time for his family and friends, and his spirit
was reflected in his smile and life. Scholarships will be awarded
to students enrolling in Fire Science programs.

Larry Stillman Memorial
Funded by an endowment that was established in honor of Larry
Stillman. Larry served as Business Manager for
Eagle Point School District 9 during the mid-1970's and at
the Southern Oregon Education Service District until
his death in 1990. It was Mr. Stillman's desire to assist
students who wish to continue their education beyond
high school.

Linda Bedell Memorial
Funded by the Foundation's 2006 Annual Benefit Auction paddle
item, "Scholarship Naming Rights" held the
weekend following Labor Day. The memorial scholarships will honor
Linda Bedell, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and beloved friend to many in
the Rogue Valley. Seventeen, one thousand dollar scholarships will be presented in
2007 as the Linda Bedell Memorial Scholarships.

President's Service Challenge
Established by the President of the United States to honor those
students who give unselfishly of their time
and energies to volunteer in their community in a multitude of
ways. The scholarship is a matching grant type
of scholarship and depends upon a 50/50 local match of funds. Presently
funded locally by the District 9 Community Scholarship Fund.

Thomas Ussary Memorial
This memorial scholarship was established as a tribute to a young
man very dedicated to his future in industrial mechanics. The family of
Thomas and the Industrial Mechanics Instructor at Eagle Point High School
established the criteria based on students who want to continue
their education in Industrial Mechanics.

Ted and Glenda Greb Scholarship
Presently funded by Ted and Glenda Greb, alumni of Eagle Point High
School and active supporters of programs of School District #9. These scholarships are
available to EPHS graduates or GED recipients who have excelled in athletics and who
will continue their education beyond high school at an accredited institution.
The application process and selection of students is administered through the Eagle
Center and the high school.

Tim Trautman Memorial
Funded through donations and in the past by a Memorial Golf Tournament.
Tim Trautman was an active FFA member while in high school, and a very
active and contributing member of our community. The scholarship
recognizes those facts by distributing its annual scholarships
to FFA senior members who will continue their education post high school.
